Having two small anoying issues with my new GT1 box

Hi, I looked around and could not find these issues addressed, please point me in the right direction.

When I start the box in the top left corner I get the spinning icon saying it is looking for my location. If I set it to Toronto, it does nothing, it keeps looking. Happens everytime I start the box and it also has the wrong time each startup, I set the correct time in settings.

Also when I start kodi it gives me the info on clicking the side arrows each time and I have to click OK to proceed. The text says it will just do this once, but it does it everytime.

Also could someone give me an absolute answer to what firmware I should be using? Do I just update it automatically in the updates section?

I got the same trouble.
Every time I start my box it asks the city. I write it and only sometimes is accepted.

Ok, I will try but I guess I have to set up exudas again? Also I lose my favorites when I turn the box back and as well as the setting changes I made in Kodi. Is there a battery somewhere in there on the motherboard that might be dead?

I think spmc 16.5.3 won't work with kodi 17 and either with tv mox mounting android version before 5.0

I am not using kodi 17 but I think I will wait for a proper firmware update from bee-link, I don't want to take a chance I will brick it and they will not warranty. I will try the reset, apparently there is a physical reset button outside the box? If that does not work I guess I will return it for an exchange.

Try "Toronto, Ontario"

Use ClockSync app from PlayStore.... set to Automatic and "Sync on Boot" in settings to keep time right.

Ok, update! I did a factory reset and it fixed most of my issues. It now finds the location Toronto and it saves the background and the settings in Kodi. The only thing that does not stay is my favorites, I put netflix there and when I restart the box it is gone.
