I'm using SDIO for a long time now, I have the full archive on an external SSD that I update once a month, I plug it on all my windows install on different hardware (desktop, laptop, intel, AMD, brand new, 5 years old, etc.), create a restore point, install drivers, that's it, always the latest/best drivers

Only thing that may break on Intel sytem is if you installed windows with the BIOS in RAID mode for the drive, then don't install the latest intel RST SATA AHCI driver.
