I turned on the Mini S one morning, it started fine. It cam up with the log in page, then I didn’t touch it. I came back after 5 mins and it had turned off.  (The unit is 17 months old. I use it every work day). The room was cold i.e. about 15C.

I started it again.  It showed the boot screen, Beelink etc.  But then it did not boot up and I got a black screen.

I tried turning it on several times, but it never displays anything at all.

I have a second identical Mini S. I took the windows SSD and the RAM out of the “not working unit” and put it in the spare Mini S and it is working fine.

This is using the same monitor and HDMI cable and 12V plug pack and same mouse and keyboard.  So I guess the fault is the hardware inside the “not working mini S unit”.

Please turn off the PC , unplug the power supply, and put the pin in the pinhole and press it for about 10 seconds , restart the PC after ten minutes.
Here is the tutorial https://mega.nz/file/XypwTISY#DV ... Z7f7qpKGP2E3nMHW8ms

I have exactly the very same problem.

I'll try it on my unit and see if it works.

Edit:

Ok, the CLEAR CMOS thing didn't do anything for me. I opened up the case and cleaned some dust from inside.

Tried turn it on and......... nothing.

Opened again, cleaned up the memory/SSD and slots (i changed the mem ram for one i had saved from a laptop).

Turn it on with the case open and........ nothing.

Tried a second time, fiddling with the power connector and........ it worked?

Turn it off, case closed and turn it on a third time and........ nothing.

Tried again for the fourth time and it worked, but this time, i had to press the power buttom several times until it turned on.

Turned off and on again, after 6 ~ 8 presses it turned on.

I think i have a faulty power buttom, but i don't know what caused the machine to restart, like George77 described.

Maybe the change i made in mem ram resolved the restart issue.
