Hi,

Is there a way I can decrease the power consumption of my mini pc from 65W to less wattage. This might help me reduce CPU and GPU temperatures in summers.
My specs are :

SER 5 MAX - 1TB nvme - 32gb ram - Ryzen 7 5800H

Hello there,

Here is the tutorial of setting the TDP of the machine:

1. Power off the host and press the power supply. When the logo is displayed on the screen, press Del on the keyboard to enter the BIOS

2. After entering the BIOS, use the arrow keys to switch to the [Advanced] option and enter the [AMD CBS] menu

3. Go to [NBIO Common Options]

4. Finally, enter the [SMU Common Options] option

5. In the [System Mode Configuration] option, [Balance Mode] is 45W in balance Mode and [Performance Mode] is 54W in performance mode. You can adjust the value according to your requirements.

6. After setting, press [F4] and select [Yes] to save and exit

The maximum TDP of SER5 MAX 5800 can be set to 54W. Do you confirm that the current TDP of your machine is 65W?

Have  a nice day!

Hello there,
if your machine get high temperature, you can try the following method:
adjust power settings: Adjust the power settings on your PC to optimize performance and reduce heat generation. Lowering the maximum processor state or using power-saving modes can help.Go to control panel ---power option---change to High performance--- change plan setting---advanced setting ---processor power management--- change both 100% to 99% , click save.
