SER7 no sound on LINUX (any distributive)

@rxtx, the problem you're facing can be fixed by using an amplifier, as I told you before. There's no other solution. It's super cheap, you plug into your USB port and then plug the hedphone in this USB amplifier.

SER7 line out has low voltage and that's a design/hardware flaw you won't fix with any software.

Yes, I already understood that. The Ser7 design is technically made very cheaply, hype is around the CPU and the periphery is not matter. I already bought a USB-C DAC,  waiting for delivery
It’s strange why the sound works great in Windows, and only Linux has problems.

I'm currently using Linux Manjaro on my SER 7 and I'm experiencing this same issue (really low volume on rear and front audio jacks), I have also tried Ubuntu and OpenSUSE and the issue is present in those too.

Before installing Linux, this was also happening to my Windows 11 setup until I installed the corresponding Realtek audio drivers for ALC897 chip, after doing that the sound started coming out with a proper volume. But as mentioned before I haven't been able to find a fix on Linux.

I'm not a Linux expert, but it seems the issue could be related to ALC897 chip or the BIOS probably.

PS: I'm not dual booting. Currently just Linux on my mini pc.

select ALC897, tick the unconnected pins box, then tick/apply to test, as explained in the posts.

Actually, I overrode one of the already connected pins that said "Black Headphone, Right Side" I changed it from "Headphones" to "Dock Line Out" and that did the trick. Which is good because I use this for both headphones and a line out.

Yes, I tried it, but it doesn't work. The sound works, but it's very quiet.

Is not problem with small power of sound card, problem is with setup of alc897 under linux.
Why with WINDOWS and some custom drivers from beelink work well, i have sound with normal volume. Drivers from WINDOWS UPDATE, have the same issue like on linux.

Look like, sound go out with out amp, jack work like line out, even is detected like speaker/headphones. I tested few kernel and distribution of linux, the same problem everywere ...

Even if sound card do not have too much power, why beelink sell product with so big issue? :D  

But it's software problem, if someone can tell, what is changed in beelink drivers - we can move this changes to our OS.

With an amplifier, sound volume at max is too low.

For now, I am just using a $3 usb to 3.5mm jack adapter.

If anyone comes up with a linux driver, post it here please.
