Facing the same problem after an update. But I am unable to access winRE and unable to install Windows from a USB stick (I see only loading icon after selecting the drive by F7). BIOS seems to work and it can see the default M.2 SSD but can't boot it. So I am stuck with infinite "Preparing automatic repair" black screen and nothing is happening.

I consider myself techsavy, tried everything I could, but can't get past the black screen. The SSD seems to be corrupt.
