Monitor that can go really dark (dim)

I have an LG 29WP500 29" UltraWide IPS 75Hz And it does not have a wide enough range of brightness settings for me. Especially on the dimness side. Any tips?

24" would be ideal but anything -/+ 4" is okay. Budget around $200 to $500. ..
