On some youtube review for the SER6 MAX i can see that SER6 MAX can accept up to 2 x 4TO PCIe NVMe Gen4 M.2 2280 drives.
I have an additional 2TO CIe NVMe Gen4 M.2 2280 drive inside my SER6 MAX and was considering to go for a 4TO one.
Can you confirm if the SER6 MAX can handle a 4TO ssds or is it limited to 2TO ssds ?
Also are there any option to replace the M2 connector by a SATA one like on the SER5 (and this way go for SSD larger than 2T) ?
Thanks for your answer ! On the SER5 instead of being able to add a second M2, it was possible to plug a traditionnal 2,5" SSD : The second M2 connector was instead a SATA connector. Just wondering if there would be such an adapter for SER6 MAX to replace the second M2 connector. Just because that would let me plug a traditional SSD (Unless you confirm the 2TB limitation is not related to the SSD type, but the machine itself). Hopefully I'm clear enough :P
hello, for ser 6 max, if you wanna connect a hdd, yes , you need to buy a adapter, then it could support that, if you want to buy one, pls contact our after-sales email: Support-PC@bee-link.com, Hope it helps, Have a nice day!
Thanks a lot for your answer. However i just need this to be clarified : If i use this adapter, does the 2TB limit still applies ? Or will i be able to use a large disk ? Thanks !
hello, each slot maximum supports 2TB, but there are only two options for you: two nvme ssd or one nvme ssd and one hdd. there is impossible to install 2 nvme SSDs and one HDD at one time. Hope it helps, Have a nice day!
