I am curious if anyone else got video playback issues with the GTR7. I got my GTR7 a few days ago with BIOS version v30. NO issues with reboots at all (I was scared based on what I had read from reviews that this may be an issue), but as soon as I connect more than one display, I start having issues with video playback. Video playback will restart / go black in any program. I have updated my BIOS to the latest, reinstalled Windows 11, and ensured I have the latest drivers from AMD, but the issue still persists, and tech support over email has been less than helpful.

So there is a BIOS v30 version... I really start to HATE Beelink for not publishing each BIOS version, or at least the LATEST.

Yeah, my unit shipped with BIOS V28, and after reaching out Beelink provided me with BIOS v30 (Dated: 09/07/2023). It didn't help at all with my particular issue but I have not had any random reboots or any other issues, so that's a positive I guess? I wish Beelink support would be more responsive about this.... $1000 PC that can't even work with more than one monitor correctly.

@dhinez
Have you looked in the V30 BIOS for any indications you can control the TDP? On V29 and it is locked to 45W. (HWiNFO64 or CPU-Z)

In the BIOS it only shows "Balanced and "Performance" modes and image shows HWiNFO64 and CPU-Z results.

Is it possible for "to protect systems from inexperienced use of BIOS updates", until advised by a tech support team member to action an update? Remote services may be available if a user is unsure how to do this?

I've been in some tight binds where my system has crashed, leaving me unable to download anything or ask for help! I always try to keep a second system, even a mobile phone for Internet access... but then downloading a BIOS is still a BRICK wall.  I hope this helps (a little)?

So an update to the video issue I was having. After speaking with Beelink support over email, they wanted me to return my GTR7 to Amazon for a new one. (I am still within the 30-day return window.) But before sending my PC in for replacement, I decided to do some research. I've read online from various other users of AMD's Ryzen 7000 mobile series APUs and RDNA3 GPUs that hardware video acceleration is causing the issue. So in programs that have the video stuttering issue, if I disable GPU video hardware acceleration, the issue completely goes away. This indicates, as I had previously suspected, that the AMD adrenalin driver is probably at fault. I'm going to wait for a few more Adrenalin updates from AMD and reach out to them before replacing my unit, I've decided for now.

I use 3 to 4 monitors constantly and don't have these issues. I did adjust my video ram to 8GB instead of the default 4. I also regularly check the status of my adrenalin drivers. Microsoft has replaced them on me twice. I love my 7840HS. It has enough power to do everything I ask of it and I haven't had an issue in months.
