SER5 PRO - Ram settings in bios

Hello, I've encountered an issue with the bios when I'm trying to set manually the memory frequency and timings to their default values.
Each time I enable the overclock option in "DDR4 Common Option/DRAM Timing Configuration" in order to set manual values, the system won't boot anymore and I have to make a clear cmos.


Other tweaking options related to cpu and bus frequencies seems to work, only this one have an issue.

The simple fact to change the overclock option from auto to enabled make the system won't boot anymore...
Lowering Dram frequency or left it in auto won't help to boot, and same for timings too, custom primary timings (based on spd) or auto still no boot.

Do you have a fix ?


I don't know what's the lastest bios version (and where I can find it?)

But the bios on my system is : 5800H506
Model: SER5 PRO 5800H 32GO 500SSD HDMI&DP

Hello, thanks for your letter, our machine does not support ram overlock, sorry for that.

and your bios version the latest one, you do not need to update it.

Sad, but thanks for your quick answer.

Maybe could you separate memory timings from the "overclock" menu in this case? (at least basic timings)

If you don't support memory overclock, just remove/hide the higher frequencies above the max 1600(3200)mhz supported from the list (and fix the no-post/boot issue.. Or so, rename the "overclock" option to "brick your bios" or "force clear cmos" it should be more precise )

(Sorry don't find me offensive, what we have here look more as a bios not completly finished yet?)

If I upgrade the memory with this kit (which is available and not too costly) :

right now it doesn't have option for overclocking. but it should allow it to squeeze more performance out of it. i have an asus motherboard i was able to overclock the memory pretty quickly it does make big difference. for overclocking it would need to able to set the voltage in the memory too.
