ISSUE:

All USB ports and Bluetooth are glitchy to the point of unusable:

- Connection drops intermittently on and off

- huge lag on button presses or registering wrong button presses
- wireless (both bluetooth as 2.4Ghz USB wireless): only works within 50 cm of range (2 feet).

It is really sad as I just received the unit through Amazon and I really wanted to love the PC as it is nice and fast, but the USB and Bluetooth not working makes it unusable for me. No peripherals will work properly.

I searched on Reddit and this apparent;ly has been an issue for the Ser6 Pro for half a year now!

Reason presumably is inner interference of the USB-3 ports (perhaps the ports have no proper shields?) from APU magnetic field.

The issue occurs each time the system is under load i.e a game or bigger task.

Peripherals over USB and Bluetooth just stop working properly.

The PC came with Bios 1.3 and FW 1.5 so I imagine that is the latest,

I started a return ticket at Amazon.

Hello there,
Sorry for the trouble.
① I think the issue lies on the distance between USB port and the Bluetooth.  Please use  extended cord.
② You can use wired keyboard or mouse as an alternative.

Thank you for the reply.

My solutions were:

1. Use a USB dongle to separate the 2.5Ghz USB nano receivers from the unit in distance.
2. Disable the built- in bluetooth and buy a bluetooth 5.0 dongle.

All works well now and I closed my return at Amazon.

You have to use a dongle in the USB 4 port at the front and put your 2.4 GHz wireless dongles in there.

The bottom line is: magnetic interference of USB 3 ports on 2.4 Ghz wireless and Bluetooth is a known issue since 2010.
So manufacturers mixing USB 3 with other USB ports (2/4 etc) on the same side creates a huge issue where you lose bluetooth and wireless.
You have to physically separate USB ports.

Using a dongle to extend can fix this.

I believe a lot of Mini PC's will suffer from this. Any comments about "weak" bluetooth or SUB being glitchy might point to this issue.

The newer Ser6 Max that is not out yet seems to resolve this issue by grouping the USB 3 ports to one side of the device leaving the other side free . Hopefully!

The weak Bluetooth remains an issue because it seems not to have a shielding against the USB 3  magnetic interference.

Hello friends, nice to meet you. I have a SER7, I want to know how to disable the built in bluetooth adapter in order to use a USB bluetooth dongle.
