Hello,

I just received my new GTR 7 and I have noticed that any bluetooth connection will stutter. It happens about once in a minute. My bluetooth mouse doesnt respond smoothly, and my bluetooth headset audio stutters at that moment. It happens for a second or 2 and then dissapears again.

I have already tried to install the given intel bluetooth driver (version 22.220.1) and the latest driver from intel (22.230.1). Both have the same issue.

Is this a known issue? And is there a solution?

Thanks

Search this forum for a bottom brushed fan issue. It puts so much EMI enougth to kill any short range wireless communications including bluetooth.
Solution is to replace the bottom fan with some decent brushless one.

I have found this Thread:
https://forum.bee-link.com/forum ... id=86875&extra=

I guess that's the one.

Since i have the same issue with controllers and my bluetooth headsets, i will contact the support again.
Or just a partnumber from a compareable DC5V brushless fan would be nice.

Yep, that's the one. I tired of waiting for Beelink to mail me a replacement fan, so I went ahead and installed Noctua NF-A4x10 fan, and I'm happy to report that all my EMI-related problems are gone.

I replaced the system fan in my unit as well, which seemed to help with my bluetooth keyboard/mouse combo responding sluggishly at times (My RF USB mouse & keyboard always worked smooth). Although better, it was still noticeable when I held my hand over the area of my keyboard where the bluetooth antenna is. I replaced the factory laptop antennas with some external ones and it's silky smooth now, even when I cover the keyboard/mouse's bluetooth antenna with my hand. My wifi download speed also went from ~85Mbps to max at 100Mbps for my link. Sure enough, It was poor bluetooth/wifi signal. I'm not saying Beelink is to blame for this, I've had several other mini pc's with poor bluetooth/wifi signal - the "sticker" antennas used for this application are not very good imho. "Main" is wifi and "Aux" is bluetooth BTW, there doesn't seem to be much diversity Between the pair.

Thanks so much for this information. Indeed disconnecting the bottom fan alleviates the issue. Do you perhaps have a picture of how you managed to fit the noctua fan in the plastic cover?

Another option is to mount a replacement fan to the baseplate. albertr's method of mounting to the plastic sub-base was my preferred choice, however, extraneous factors made me mount the fan this way. It's a 60x60x10 fan. You might be able to go up to 80x80x10 fan (if you can find one), but that cutout would push the limits of the plastic sub-base's integrity.

The other point to consider when choosing the fan - if you will be using the same connector as the original fan the current limit of the regulator is about 0.3A (as per Beelink support person). However, since it's 5VDC, you can always power it from the USB power regulator instead.
