Greetings :)

The GTR 7 works almost flawless for me. No noises, no random reboots and no thermal throttling - it's an awesome little machine!
But there is one thing that bothers me.

Im unable to set the VRAM size in BIOS. I can change the value, but the OS still only ever sees 4GB VRAM. I know some apps and games will just swap to the rest of the system memory and since the System RAM is shared with Video RAM this shouldn't be an issue right?
But it is a problem since some games only see 4GB RAM and you can't use certain settings or they don't even start correctly.

How can i set the VRAM to 8gb?

Ratchet & Clank barely uses system memory, the ram used is peaked at 18-24GB total system usage.

It's limits are vram of 4GB but I'm setting everything on high and some to very high and 1080p and fsr 2.1 but no scaling and I'm getting 39fps average sometimes as low as 29 fps and highs of 59 fps.

"please don't hijack threads with off topic posts."

This is what you wrote Gareth. Mind to listen to your own words?

It would have been cool, if you just checked, if your GTR7 Pro behaves the same.

yes i notice software reports it as 4gb of vram still but oddly windows itself in the properties tab of "computer" shows under the usable ram ammount as the correct. as in shows the usable amount that reflects what it would be if it was taking what its set in the bios to give to the APU.

you will have to find a proper testing method to find out if its really still limited to 4gb or not i have not looked into this yet

What BIOS version do you have? On my GTR7 with BIOS V07 I can change the size of VRAM and it does, in fact, change, so I can confirm that it works in V07 BIOS.

How was I hijacking, what I wrote was on topic and was not diverting the origonal topic from its path.

I know about intergrated graphics, it's all I've been using for well over a decade.

I am not going to alter anything in the bios when I have no issues with the performance.

my bios loaded from factory v13, also that reply was uncalled for and hardly relevant.

This is now a hijack you are new here, respect members who have existed on here before yourself.

This is a notation for the v13 bios download, Google translated from Beelink's Chinese website:

"The changes are as follows:
Adjust the BIOS default video memory to 4GB.
SR IOV is enabled by default
Optimize the rear USB4 display.
Optimize crashes and freezes in the game.
Add some SSD compatibility support, such as Zhizhi, Patriot, etc."

Don't trust what Unigine says about your vram, because it reports mine incorrectly at 4Gb as well. I can't explain why your adrenaline version reports it wrong, because mine reports vram correctly at 8GB
If you have that bios, then perhaps it is locked at 4Gb? I haven't had an issue adjusting it with bios v07, v14 or v20.
