Hi There.

I have an external GPU dock, thunderbolt 3, with a RTX 4070 GPU. Cannot make it work.

When I plug in the dock, it detects, and as soon as the GPU is enumerated in Device manager, the pc reboots instantly.

I have also tested and external TB3 dock (Wavlink) and it works fine, no issues at all. Only e-gpu is not working.

I was able to go into safe mode, plug in egpu, install drivers. But if I plug the egpu with the computer ON, it reboots.

If I start the computer with the EGPU plugged in, as soon as the GPU is enumerated in Windows, it crashes as well.

Is there a BIOS setting / update I can do to fix this?

The egpu dock works perfectly in a TB3 Lenovo laptop with Intel CPU.

Thanks.

Bee Link support emailed mentioning the egpu issue was due to AMD driver being incompatible.

Just u ...

I also had problems connecting the GPU (RTX3060) via TBT3.
But I managed to set up the system and now the EGPU is working.

1. Boot Windows into Safe mode.
2. Try to connect the GPU with Safe mode enabled.
3. Try installing the drivers on an external graphics card.

I think this maybe an AMD driver conflict, wait until 20th Beelink has a bios and AMD driver set of updates out on the same day.

Looking forward to the update as well. But reading the threads it looks like there are too many issues expectations on top of it, and they might not be that advanced into shipping *all* those fixes in this update.

A lot of issues are being repeated on different threads and it end up being most of those are for the same reason.

Power states, C6 but Beelink seems to think its an AMD driver issue so we wait and fingers crossed.

Bee Link support emailed mentioning the egpu issue was due to AMD driver being incompatible.

Just updated to the new drivers from AMD website.

Same exact behaviour. Reboots as soon as EGPU is detected in windows (either at boot, or after plugging it in).

It is not the drivers. It is the hardware / BIOS.

Waiting on a solution Bee Link.

Egpu works on intel thunderbolt systems normally.

Hello all,

For those who are interested, this appears to be an issue with Nvidia cards only. My 5700 XT works very well, but my 3080 Ti does as described by the OP.

I'll try booting into Safe Mode now, and see if this makes a difference.

DH.

Hello.

I recently posted here on the forum a problem similar to yours and today I managed to solve it.

https://forum.bee-link.com/forum ... id=87503&extra=

I have the same mini pc as you, GTR7Pro and my egpu didn't work. What I did and it started to work was to reset the bios using the cmos button on the front cover. After that, I plugged the usb 4 cable into the thunderbolt port and windows recognized it in the device manager, and the main thing, it didn't restart or freeze the system. Make sure you haven't been changing any bios settings. If it changed, try to go back to the factory version. The bios of my mini pc is older than this new version released by beelink. I haven't updated to the new version yet. My setup has an rtx 3070 .
