Are there any special requirements for an external HDD to be used with GT1?
My unit seems not to see the one I have, which is a 320 GB, two NTFS partitions laptop HDD.
Also - is there a way to search this beelink forum?
I don't think any special requirements require though....I'm using USB powered 2.5 inch Seagate Free Agent Go Flex 500GB and WD Elements 2TB at the same time to watch Video files - But I connect them via AC Powered USB Hub so the GT1 don't waste it's Processing Power.
I cannot give you an exact answer but the GT1 seems to be a little demanding when it comes to file formats. it didn't see the USB drive formated on my LG TV, din't accept the exFat formated on a MAC .. I had to format the USB drive to ExFat on a friend's PC. Try a single partition exFAT
using many other tv boxes I learn to format the hard disk with alu blocks of 4096 bytes.
For Example, a 2Tb hard disk formatted NTFS with alu blocks of 512 bytes is not recognized by many tv boxes
For search try "Google Search Within a Website", e.g. google this:
site:http://www.bee-link.com External HDD
replace "External HDD" with whatever you need.
Does it work at full or at least reasonable speeds? Mine (wd my passport 2tb) gives around 4MB/s for writes and 10MB/s for reads at most. Tried .nomedia hint, disabling power-saver mode for external storage services, AC-powered USB hub etc - nothing helps :(
