to add to this the USB bus issue is a major setback for how I intended to use this miniPC.   Needed the typeC bandwidth.

I'm sorry to hijack this thread.   No understanding WHY but I went into the BIOS and just looked around in the BIOS trying to find anything that appeared to need to be turned on, made some change about USB Power management, and set the powermanage to Performance.    Saved exited.

Type C now works.  WTH.

Now on to the other issue of I/O and NVME on this unit.   I can transfer across wifi faster than the NVME can uncompress a file.   I can transfer almost 100MBs (not bps, BYTES) across wifi.   But the Crucial NVME can't get better than 50MBs when uncompressing a file that the same file can umcompress 500MBs on my other PC?   WIFI is faster than my NVME?   Something is really goofed up here....

Like so many other SER5 and GTR users on this forum, I'm having endless problems with the front side USB-C and USB 3.0 ports.

I did not test USB-C, but USB 3and USB 2 works here with Ubuntu and SER 6 Max 7735. USB 2 usess dongles für Keyboard and mouse. USB 3 is sometimes used to dopy data.

Linesin dmesg containing error:

I searched now for an USB-C drive. Front USB3 works here, the 2 USB-4 drive at the back work too. But I could not test, what happens if I use more than 1 USB-C-port.

Bit late, but I got my SER5 5800h just a week ago. And I too have the USB-issues that the TS mentioned. EXACTLY the same. I used USB-viewer to check the USB-ports and there most of them are indicated as USB 3.1. But as soon as I attach disks to a port the 3.1 is replaced with 2.0. I'm not really good with pc's, so I can't reproduce the logs I saw and also can't think about the nature of the problem, but I DO know that power doesn't seem to be the issue. I attached drives directly to the ports, but also used powered USB3-hubs. That didn't help. Apart from that: when I installed Windows, the key didn't work. Beelink sent me a new one very quickly, so I thought everything would be ok. But now I have this usb-issue (a real problem for me, because I have 4 large external drives that have to be attached). And then there's a strange thing with the windows that I open. They minimize themselves within 5 seconds. Tried all sorts of things, but no luck. Experts on internet think it's a problem with the graphic drivers (which I updated of course). All in all I'm really disappointed. Had I known this before (my bad: didn't do much research) then I'd never had bought this thing. I'll give it another week and if it doesn't get better I reconnect the laptop that I used until last week. It's a bit slower, but I can use and trust it.
