Is there a way to disable the NVME SSD in the BIOS? I want to dual boot with a SATA SSD and do not want one to be able to touch the other.

"I don't understand the question???
If you want to set up a dual boot, both disks need to be detected, otherwise how do you expect the system to handle the mounting?"

There could be any number of reasons to do so but my reason is that I do not want one disk to see the other. I want to be able to isolate the NVME via the BIOS (Lenovo has allowed this for years) to safeguard it. Basically a manual bootloading process rather than letting BCD or GRUB decide. As someone who has had to repair both BCD and GRUB in the past due to cross contamination of bootloaders I would much rather just disable one disk or the other in the BIOS.

Example:
NVME - Windows 11 install with default BCD bootloader - Do not want it to see the Linux grub bootloader and corrupt it
Sata SSD - Linux Install with GRUB bootloader - Do not want it to see the Windows disk and corrupt the BCD bootloader and corrupt it.

Just set in GRUB not to install anything related to windows disk, including boot, for this you must disable physically the nvme (take it out from PC), install linux, GRUB, everything, test with reboot if it boots, make sure you set the active partitions correctly. After you finish with linux, disable sata (take out the cord), install windows on nvme after u put it back, make your settings etc. Enable both disks, press F7 and choose the booting drive everytime you reboot your machine. Other methods, I don't know if they exist.

Physically taking apart the Ser 5 is not something I want to do hense the question about disabling the Nvme in the bios. A BIOS option would be much simpler. If no such way exists then my initial question is answered in the negative.
