I have a new SER5 16G/500G/5500U.

I don't see the Beelink logo when booting to Windows. I can login to Windows.

I need to boot from a USB key but pressing F7 when booting gives me a dark screen.
Pressing either DEL or ESC when booting gives me a dark screen as well.

I tried pushing the CMOS button after unplugging the power and wait 10 minutes. It didn't help.

Do I need to return the PC as defective?

No, is related to your monitor and resolution of boot. You can try to use a different cable, or protocol, like display port. If you are using an adapter hdmi to vga or similar, hdmi to dvi, etc, that should be the cause. Native resolution of boot is not shown on your monitor. Also some UHD TV's don't know how to handle boot resolution, if you are using a TV.
