After disabling c6 sleep, using amd-c6-disable on linux I have no reboots so far. So that issue related with cpu sleep modes and ddr5 power-save - wakeup  I would be gald if some one besides me try this fix and report

Sleep modes important on laptop and less important on mini-pc so it is not realy a issue.
Support, can you redirect my expirence to bios devs? They can implement this workaround easily until amd find better fix.
it better fix with it fast, until customers start consider return. It would be shame that powerfull and nice device gain bad reputation.

Yes I confirmed it, disabling c6 sleep seems to solve the problem of random reboots

I remembered having to deal with this problem many years ago, I really thought this was already known and solved but seems that DDR5 and its new power saving modes has brought back the problem

In particular this feature: "Dynamic power-down of memory is employed during normal operation. Based on idle conditions, a given memory rank may be powered down"

It is unclear for me why not ALL people are running into this issue, particularly people running Linux

It is a shame the Beelink engineers are unaware of this problem, it should be disabled in BIOS by default or at least be exposed in BIOS so people that are having this problem can disable it

Please Support let your engineers know about this problem and solution, a very simple change in BIOS should fix it.

I also have similar issue with my Beelink GTR7 Pro (AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS w/ Radeon 780M Graphics).

The behaviour is very likely to what Eugen describes.

Before installing latest AMD drivers system reboots on each GPU-heavy activity.

After installing latest AMD drivers, with single display (via DisplayPort) system (win11) is perfectly stable (up to 13-15 days of uptime) and performant.

Just after plugging second display (via HDMI-to-DVI-D cable) - it never more than a minute before hard reboot.

Suspected the HDMI-to-DVI-D cable. But it works with another PCs.

Currently testing memory via MemTest86+...

Then will try to play with memory: remove one, swap, etc.

Is it worth trying to replace 2x16Gb to 2x32Gb (in terms of fixing this issue) (don't want to buy it just for probe another unstable configuration)?

Where is sleep in bios, under which section.

i thought the only way to stop any powering down was ...

Hi Gareth,

Well, two things changed in my system at the same time so I can only suspect one of them worked with changing RAM less likely.

The Sleep States are under ACPI Settings, I changed "Enable ACPI Auto Configuration" to Disabled
And under new menu showing up I've disabled "ACPI Sleep State" to "Suspend Disabled".
Hope that helps, let me know if it helped you.

Kind regards

Hello there,

For the random reboot issue, we are still waiting for the new AMD driver .
AMD say they will release the AMD driver at the end of July.
Please stay tuned.

The possible solution right now is to take out one of the RAM .

I can also confirm that disabling c6 sleep in Linux on my GTR7 fixes the rebooting problem.

Well, I think I'm throwing in the towel on this one.  I basically have a $700 brick sitting on my desk.  I know beelink is having their R&D look into the issue, but it's been long enough and I will be returning.  I hope Beelink will be good enough to pay for the shipping.

Was really hoping not to see problems with this unit. This could be the one especially in orange.

I'm having the same issue with one of my GTR7 Pros. It's has a BIOS build date of 5/27/2023. My other GTR7 Pro is not rebooting by itself and it has a BIOS build date of 6/5/2023.

I contacted Beelink customer support and they sent me a new BIOS with a build date of 6/13/2023. I just flashed it last night and will see if that fixes the problem.

*UPDATE*
After installing the new BIOS, it's still rebooting randomly. The new BIOS did not fix the issue.

For me on Windows it does not reboot very often but it does during the day at least once but on Linux is much more worse, it reboots every 10 minutes or so, totally usable.

Mine has the 27th May BIOS and is not rebooting. I only have USB2 speed on my USB4 ports however. Does anyone have USB3 or dare I say USB4 speed on their USB4 ports, perhaps with the 13th June BIOS? Beelink have not responded to me on the forum or on the support email.

No, my monitor is connected via DP. I only get USB2 speeds when connecting mass storage to USB4.

Are you able to connect an SSD via USB4 and test the speeds with Crystaldiskmark with the new BIOS?

Can you dump older BIOS from your other device and write it to another gtr7?
