I received my GTR7 7940HS last week. I have made no alterations to BIOS settings.

I have been testing a Samsung 8TB QVO SSD in a USB enclosure with the USB-C ports. The speed on the rear USB4 ports is strangely at USB2 levels. However, the speed on in the front USB-C is in line with what is expected and broadly the same as when using either of the USB3 ports on the rear too.

Do I have a faulty unit or is there some bios setting that I need to change to get full speed from the USB4 ports?

This is Crystaldiskmark on the front USB-C:

Is there no input from Beelink on this forum. It seems very disappointing in relation to my issue and the other issues set out other posters.

I have tested my USB4 to DP cable and I get no video output from USB4. They seem to be just USB2 ports.

Also Samsung Magician states that the drive is connected via USB2 even though it is on a USB4 socket.

I don't have a USB C device to test this but I have a USB 3.2 Gen 2 flash drive and I get over 1000 MB/s with the front and rear USB A ports.
I have a USB A to USB C adapter and when I use the adapter on my flash drive and plug it into the USB C ports, I get about 40 MB/s. I'm not sure if it's the USB C port that has issues or it's the adapter that's slowing it down. I tried the flash driver with the adapter on my other computer and I get the same 40 MB/s.

I get full speed on the USB-A ports, full speed on the front USB-C but only 40MB/s on the rear USB-C (i.e. USB2 speeds.) So I don't think it's a cable or adapter issue because I would not get full speed on the front USB-C.

I think the USB A ports are behaving weird too. I have a Dell USB speaker that plugs into the USB A port as the only source of power and sound. It works on my other computers but not in the GTR7 Pro. When I plug it in, Windows sees the speakers and I can turn up and down the volume, but there's no sound no matter what I do. It's weird.

I've been reading reports about Ryzen 9 systems not being able to support USB 4 speeds out of the box. This seems to be an issue with all Ryzen 9 systems, not just GTR7s. Hopefully, there will be a fix with newer BIOS or drivers soon.
