I have a new Mini S12 that is finicky about USB 3.x devices.  It works with about half of my USB flash memory sticks and my external HDD will not work with a USB 3.0 cable.  Every single device works on my other two computers.

In device manager I get a "Unknown USB Device (Port Reset Failed)".  The issue is identical for the two ports on the back and on the front.

What I have tried:

- restarting the computer (no change)
- Uninstalling the usb devices in device manager (no change)
- Use of a USB 3.0 hub (the hub works, the same devices that fail also fail when plugged into the hub)

What works:

- Kingston Data Traveler 100 G3 32GB (USB 3.0)
- Emtec 16GB (USB 2.0)
- Orico DC3UP USB Hub (USB 3.0)
- Adata UFD 128GB (USB 3.0)
- Sabrent HB-UMP3 (USB 3.0) (Powered USB Hub)

What Doesn't work:

- SanDisk Ultra 64GB (USB 3.0)
- Kingston Data Traveler G4 16GB (USB 3.0)
- Kingston Data Traveler 100 G3 32GB (USB 3.0) (This is a different one than the one that works)

It's a strange problem.  Would hate to have to send the device back for this.

My device is the S12 Mini Pro with an N100 processor (500GB/16GB).

I have now determined that this is not a Windows problem.  I booted up with Ubuntu and the problem persists--the same USB devices that don't work in Windows don't work with Ubuntu either.

I have tried uninstalling the driver.  I've also installed the latest chipset drivers from Intel in addition to reinstalling the chipset driver in the Mini S12 package.

I've also tried a powered USB hub with no improvement.

It's a very strange issue--the only hope would be some BIOS settings or a future firmware update.

All that being said, I suspect a hardware fault with my unit.
