How do I enable headless mode? I've checked the BIOS, and don't see any options that would affect this (I did turn off a # of power saving modes, but it made no difference). When I disconnect the HDMI port, the output turns off and my remote tool doesn't work. Once I plug in the LCD, it works. I don't have this same issue with my Beelink SEi11 (Intel i5 CPU), only the SER5 which is AMD based. I have this one: Beelink SER5 Mini PC,AMD Ryzen 7 5800H(8C/16T,up to 4.4 GHz),Mini Computer 16GB DDR4 RAM/500GB M.2 2280 NVME SSD Graphics 8 core 2000 MHz Wifi6/BT5.2/HDMI+Type-C,Support Three-Screen Display. Thank you!

Hello there,

You can buy a USB display cheat plug.

As a side note, interface is HDMI and it emulates a 4k monitor. In my country is around 5.50$, I use this because in Windows 11 the monitor emulation doesn't work like in old versions of Windows 10.

Thanks for the heads up on this. Is there any way to do this WITHOUT a dummy plug? Never heard of this until now. Ideally a BIOS config change. Seems ridiculous to have to use such.

I think it may be related to OS, it should work on 1024x768 max resolution, the remote, without the plug. But for me, this resolution is very bad. Old versions of Windows 10 worked and you could set up any resolution on remote, it stopped working on 11.

I spoke with support and they said this is NOT by design. I provided them a BIOS pic too, and waiting for a response.

I purchased another AMD Beelink, a SER5 5000 Series AMD Ryzen 5 and same exact problem. Ugggh.

HDMI dummy adapter works, but it too bad I have to use that for the 2 AMD Beelinks. I'll stick with Intel Beelinks until this issue is resolved. I'll post what support says.

This was helpful. This is exactly what I purchased ($5/each). Have never heard of these before the forum. Thanks! I eagerly await for Support to address the headless issue with my 2 AMD Beelinks.

My herd of 3 Beelink systems: 2 x AMD (SER5 AMD Ryzen 7 5800H and SER5 AMD Ryzen 5 5500OU) and 1 x Intel (SEi11 Intel i5-11320H) see pic. And the BIOS pic of the AMD Ryzen 7 that doesn't work. I also have a Ryzen 5 that doesn't work too. But, fxnoob's suggestion was a cheap work-around. It's not ideal, but it's cheap to fix the AMD Beelinks I have. Disconnect the HDMI and the screen shrinks and goes black. Intel has no such issue. I would have people stick with the Intel Beelinks until this is fixed.

I'm glad you solved the problem, could be related to GPU technology, which is different for intel and amd. BTW, I use the dongle on intel machine, because win 11 doesn't emulate remote monitor anymore and I'm stuck with 1024x768 resolution. Anyway, the iGPU from AMD is far away from Intel's iGPU's, the RDNA2 and 3 killed any competition. Vega was good too and it still is, running old games even in 1440p resolution :).
