U59 Pro Freezing Frequently

Is anyone getting constant freezing on U59 Pro?

My unit is freezing randomly every day, to get back on-line I have to remove the power for at least 10s. I already tried everithing on it, removed the DIMMs, memory diagnostic, reinstalled the Windows on another SSD, installed Ubuntu 22.04, reinstalled the Windows on the original SSD, checked the thermals, tried to reduce the memory frequency from 2667 to 2400, etc... without any success.

BIOS: JTKT001 x64, build date 05/05/2022


Model: U59PRO-E-16512SD0W64PRO-A

On my tests, the problem is related to high temperature, since the FAN speed is bellow the need airflow to maintain it healty. As first test on that, I removed the control PIN on the PWM connector, this resulted on the FAN running on 100% with something arround 6,500 RPM and before that it was running at 2,700 RPM, so an increase of 3,800 RPM. On that setup I had no more freezing, even with the CPU running at 100% for a long time. However, this configuration is not ideal because it produces a lot of noise and FAN lifetime will be severely reduced.

The first option is Bee-Link adjust the FAN speed in an update for the U59 Pro, but I think this will not happen soon.

The second option, that I effectively did, is to reduce the FAN speed by placing two diodes 1N4007 in series on the power wire of the FAN, so with that the voltage is dropped to aprox 4V and consequently the RPM to 5,000 and less noise. Now the U59 is stable, running as I need so, with a more suitable temperature.

Sorry for the trouble.
Your BIOS is the latest one.
How about we send you a RAM to test if it works.
Or you can contact our support team support-pc@bee-link.com to replace this unit under warranty.

Hello everyone. Any news on this? By U59 Pro has the same problem. On demanding task it freezes. If I remove the top case and use an external fan it works without any problem.

I have been having this problem with U59 Pro. One has failed - it will not boot. I have emailed support.
I am also having the same problem with Mini S PC.
I can do the hardware modification on the remaining PCs if there is no software solution.
The failed PC SN is:

My bios is the same as BIOS: JTKT001 x64, build date 05/05/2022.

The problem is exactly the same: the Fan never speeds up when demanding tasks happens and it freezes.

The only solution I found is use External fans.
