Hello,
Bought 2 beelink mini pc S12 PRO and they don't connect to 5Ghz wifi , tried multiple 5ghz networks, they only work on 2.4ghz
Other pcs can connect to the 5ghz network, only the Mini S12 Pro can't.
Tried driver reinstall, still don't work.
Tried reinstalling the operating system and still the same.
Doesn't this model support 5ghz networks? It said in the specification that it did. Are all of them faulty?

Hello  there,

The item S12 Pro support 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz.

Don't worry, the PC has one-year warranty.
Let's do some troubleshooting. Here are some potential solutions:
1.Please make sure your wifi signal is full.
2. Make sure that the distance between the PC and the router is less than 6 meters.
3. Please uninstall the wifi driver and then resatart the PC to see if it works.

Hello,
The problem is not the wifi signal or the wifi network, i've tried multiple 5Ghz network with both Mini S12 Pro right next to the router, they can't connect to the 5Ghz network, only to the 2.4ghz.
I've tried driver unninstall and reinstall with the driver from the beelink site , nothing changed.
Other pcs can connect to the 5Ghz network so it is not a network problem, since only the Mini S12 Pro are the ones who can't connect to it then the problem is them.
Tried reset network settings, flush dns etc..nothing helped.
So it's either a hardware or a driver problem with the S12 Pro since it happens on both of them while other pcs work.
Is there any other driver available for the network card of S12 Pro?

So i think i figured it out what the problem is , the network adapter Intel WIFI 6 AX101 that the Beelink S12 Pro uses does not work on 5Ghz on the bandwith of 80mhz or 160mhz, i had to manually set it 40mhz in order for it to work.
I assume this is a general problem, i seen other people complaining about the same issue, don't know if either Beelink or Intel has to fix it.

Great find. Yes; With 5 GHz Wi-Fi: when to use 40 MHz: When we require minimize interference and more throughput in that case we use 40 MHz because 40MHz provides more throughput than 20 Mhz. 5 GHz Wi-Fi: when to use 80 MHz: we use 80 Mhz, when interference is not a big issue, or wi-fi client is close to router but we need more throughput.

i don't think it had anything to do with interference, tried 2 Beelink S12 Pro with the router next to them.
The network adapter Intel WIFI 6 AX101 that the Beelink S12 Pro uses simply does not seem to operate on either 80mhz or 160mhz on the 5Ghz network, don't really know if the problem is software or hardware related, i'm using the latest drivers.
I'm not the only one with this problem, other have reported it as well, most have just accepted to only use the 2.4Ghz network but it's really a shame that the this model who is quite new generation can't work at full power on the 5Ghz network especially since it was greatly advertised for its wifi capabilities.

Hello there,

Intel N95   AX101 can only works with less than 160mhz. It works fine with 40 and 80Mhz.  Please check the pictures.

Hello,

I also encountered a similar problem. I bought two Beelink Mini PC S12 PRO but they cannot connect to 5Ghz WiFi, only 2.4Ghz network. I also tried multiple 5Ghz networks, but the problem persists.

I also did a driver reinstall, reinstalled the OS, but the problem persists. I also started to wonder if this model supports 5Ghz networks, since the specs do say it does, but that wasn't the case in my case.

I suggest you contact the manufacturer and ask if they can provide a solution or replace your device. Hopefully this issue will be resolved soon so we can connect to the 5Ghz network smoothly.
