Right out of the box this thing was easy to set up.  All ports work as expected and temps were what I expected during benchmarking.  I really only have (1) major problem.  The wifi won't connect at all on the 5g band and will connect but no internet on the 2.4g band.  I've uninstalled the hardware and then reinstalled, updated drivers etc. but it just won't connect.  I can plug in a USB dongle and it connects to both bands immediatley with no issues.  I have at least 8 other devices in the house that can connect to my router on both bands.  I've been working on computers since the early 90's and this has me stumped.  Pretty much at my wit's end, tried everything I could think of.  I could just say the heck with it and use the USB dongle but I paid for a working wifi card....

Anyone have any ideas??  Probably should just go and open a ticket...  TIA

Hello there,
Please try these steps to see if it resolves the issue:

A) Disconnect from all Wi-Fi access points, then set your computer to airplane-mode.

B) Open PowerShell OR Command Prompt as administrator.

C) Enter into the command-prompt or powershell: ipconfig /flushdns

D) Enter into the command-prompt or powershell: sfc.exe /scannow ...wait for it to complete. This should only take a few minutes.

E) Shutdown the machine (don't restart it); we need it shutdown(powered off completely) so that the wireless adapter can be "restarted".

F) Wait for about 10 seconds ===> then proceed to power it on.

Sorry for taking so long to get back to this, work keeps me too busy sometimes....

Anyway, tried what you advised above and had partial success.  I can now connect on the 2.4g band and have good reception.  I'm still not able to use the 5g band.  It connects and says 'unsecured connection' 'no internet'.

I will give any other ideas a try if you have any...  Thanks for your time!

This may be filed as "stupid suggestion" but a couple nights ago, the only device that I had that refused to connect (either 2.4 or 5 Ghz) was my 5800.  I did lots things to no avail until I rebooted my router.  All good since then.
