SER5 5800 Videa Driver Crash

My SER5 5800 crashes anytime I try to use Windows Media Player and Windows Movies and TV. But it WILL work with VLC player. Help please.

Reinstall driver and use amd cleanup utility, search on AMD site, you use this before, to remove the old one, after reboot you install the new one. See if still happens.

Updated drivers with the cleanup utility and it did absolutely nothing. Still won't play windows Media Player or windows Movies and TV. Oddly enough, it WILL play VLC.

Could be a codec that has conflict with ms software, try to look into it, now that driver is properly installed. You can just use VLC, as is the most complete playback software on market and is free, also knows subbing and everything. Forget about MS.

Sounds like your media player program is messed up. Remove and Reinstall it.
