SER 5500U - SATA drive not showing up

I just purchased the SER 5500U and trying to add an older SATA drive (Segate ST500LT012) that I have as a secondary drive so I can multi-boot an Ubuntu instance. After installing the SATA drive and booting the system and then pressing F7 I do not see the Segate secondary drive nor is it listed in the BIOS. I have reseated the SATA cable, gone into the BIOS and velidated the SATA was enabled (set to auto) so everything looks good but the drive is just not showing up. Also the drive appears not to be spinning up so at this point I'm unsure if Im missing something or if my unit is defective. Any feedback would he helpful. Thank you in advance.

Hello,
Your model machine can only support Nvme SSD.
So your SATA SSD  can't be recognized.

I just installed a SSD drive, INLAND Professional 240GB SSD 3D NAND SATA III, and still do not see the drive in the BIOS or F7 option.

It sounds like there is no power getting to the drive based off the two you tried already. The first one you tried made sense, as older 2.5" SATA drives usually require more amperage that this motherboard can't provide on that port.
The second one you tried should work. It could be a faulty SATA cable (you should've have a spare in the box to try and swap with). It could also be a motherboard fault issue which I am learning is common with Beelink products.

Make sure the ribbon is fixed in SATA module, maybe is not making good contact.

Are you sure that this machine could use a SATA drive besides the NVME?
