Hi everyone,

My Beelink SER5 5600h which arrived yesterday.

Upon boot up, I set up windows, ran windows update and then installed the latest drivers for the 5600h using the adrenaline software and the auto detect and install tool from the AMD website to get the latest chipset drivers.

There is zero to no fan noise when the machine is in use. It runs well, is fast and I have had no issues.

THE PROBLEM:
Upon shutdown or sleep, the fan immediately turns on, it is on high, very loud and doesn't stop. I've tried leaving it for an hour and it continues to run which is strange as it's inaudible/quiet during use.

The only way to turn the fan off is to unplug the power and plug it back in.

Things I've tried:
- Disabling wake on lan
- Disabling fast start up
- Disabling hibernation
- Changing the power mode
- Changing link state power management

Any ideas anyone?

It's very strange that the fan wont stop when the device is powered OFF or in sleep mode.

This machine, based on your usage, is consuming around 25W, under 20W in idle. Disable all power saving energy, lock the screen and turn off monitor, let it run 24/7 until they provide a fix or a new bios revision. I had similar issue with some motherboards when I was using desktops.

So essentially you're saying disable sleep mode and when not in use, turn off the monitor and leave the PC running?

Yeah, is not a big deal and Greta Thurnberg won't blame you for not saving the planet, trust me

I might even take the fan out. The SSD fan barely does anything anyway.

They sometimes connect here, but I think forum is for discussions, related to Support, you must open a ticket on site, at Service & Repair.
