I do have the same problem. Temps are high. On system start, the AMD monitoring app registers 50+ deg which is to be honest is high for me and it doesn't go lower than that.

If you are used to temps on desktops, forget about that. Temps on laptop CPU's are way higher, TJMax is 95C so anything below this is fine. Enjoy your new mini pc :)

Thanks for the assurance mate. Yeah, you are correct, I am used to desktop which sits on a 30deg temps (both cpu and gpu), and go as 40 to 50+ when gaming. I was shocked when I saw my(mini pc) temps go as high as 85 to 90deg when I opened a game. I guess I'll just use this for productivity (for lower consumption) then just shift to desktop when gaming(i just occasionally game though so that's fine) :)

In the GTR7 model forum there is talk that Beelink could modify the bottom plate to help cool the unit.

Could this design modification be extended to the SER6 / SER6 Pro models?

Can someone from Beelink Support tell us something about it?

What is it pity that it only revealed now! I received the email too though I have not got GTR...
See the bottom plate of your SER6 - I don't remember now - if it has holes then you can't do anything...

It is worth noting that HWiNFO quotes the following for the 7735HS:

CPU Thermal Trip Limit:                125.0 °C
CPU HTC Temperature Limit:        115.5 °C

So 95 °C is not so when compared to the above.

Same temp issues here with my SER6 Pro 7735HS. My BIOS is already 1.13/1.15 (not 1.15.01 thought). I pushed the TDP to 45W and the GPU RAM to 8GB.

With a Debian 12 (GNOME) fresh install and a few tabs opened on Firefox, I can't get under 60-70°C while browsing with a FHD@30fps video playing on YouTUBE. A 4k@60fps video on YouTUBE makes k10temp to rise up to 75-85°C (and stay there). Fans get loud then. Room temperature is about 25°C.

Those temps seems to be a little bit high comparing to you guys. Should I change the thermal paste ?

You can try to change it, you will win some degrees lower. I changed to Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut, also I use the mini PC as a remote workstation now and I disabled PBO and temps are a lot lower now.

Thank you, mate.

I've seen - in another topic - that you managed to disassemble the motherboard from the case. Did you find the factory's thermal paste to be too thick or of bad quality ?

You were speaking about the WiFi antennas which have to be disconnect and that they were glued to the WiFi chip (which lie under the M.2 for what I've seen when I changed it). How did you remove the glue without damaging any chips or elements ? You were also talking about a sticker on the cooling system. Would you have any picture of this sticker ?

Would you mind uploading some pictures (if you have them) on those steps ?

Thank you very much for your help !

I think some people already posted some pictures with disassemble, I don't have them atm. The thermal paste was solidified when I removed it, Support said is solid when components are colder and soft when is warm. When you disassemble you must pay attention to SATA ribbon, is very fragile.
