Does the SER6 have a serial number programmed?

I bought some SEI12 PCs and they all have serial number = "default string" which will not work for any corporate AzureAD/Intune usage.

Can someone look in their SER6 BIOS and see if they have "default string" as their serial number, please? If you do have a serial number, I'm going to return the SEI12s and get SER6 machines instead.

This tutorial is not working. It's not very clear how to do this.

I get an error saying "SMBIOS cannot be initialized. DMI write failed". I do not think it is the right version. I think the BIOS is locked as well and won't allow changes.

Can I have the BIOS for the SEI 12 so I can write the serial number myself?

I need to buy computers with a serial number. The tool to change it is not working. Looking for a computer that comes with a serial number so it works with Microsoft Intune.
