Hi Folks. I have a SER5 I just got, with the r5 5500u processor. came with 16gb ddr4, and i upgraded it to 32gb of crucial ddr4 3200. Install was easy, but the timings on the memory are at 2666. Not wanting to mess things up, i thought i'd ask you folks. Where in th bios would i go to set the memory timing to 3200, or 1600, whichever i need to get the full speed of the memory. Any advise would be appreciated, Thanks.

Memory by default is 3200 mhz when you run something like CPUz it shows 1600mhz base frequency, DDR4 is double that so it's 3200mhz. 1600MHz is actually the frequency it's running at, it just does a transfer at the start of the clock and a transfer at the end of the clock. CPUz reads the actual frequency of the RAM, while Task Manager reads the effective speed of the RAM. They're both the same exact value which = 3200Mhz. The RAM specs are read automatically by the BIOS and by default that is full speed.

Thank you for the help. For whatever reason, the new memory was running at 2666, even though it's 3200 memory. I did find the bios setting to adjust it 3200 (1600x2), so all is good. odd that the bios doesn't default to 3200 memory though. Thank you again.
