Hello,

Can someone please share the spec (PIN count, Pitch value, etc) for this ribbon cable to connect the 2.5inch SSD to GTR5 so that I can purchase online just in case?
This appears to be a 12-PIN FPC cable. Is this 0.5 mm pitch (for example would this work --> 0.5mm Pitch 150mm FPC FFC Flexible Ribbon Cable)
I am having an issue with my unit failing to recognize my SSD and I think the issue is with the cable. I have sent an email to support-pc@bee-link.com and still waiting.
I am hoping to purchase a few extras online just in case.

Thank you
Kind regards
-Ram

I've been looking for this cable for a week, you just can't find it, just contact support and they'll send it to you. It's longer, it works and it's 1.2. There is no other solution. As I sent you the link to the discussion, read it. It took 22 days with free shipping and a tracking number.

This cable?  (the L-Shape cable)

As stated in the post below; "...I have had the same issue. I have contacted Beelink Support (support-pc@bee-link.com) with my proof of purchase on Amazon with a snapshot picture taken with my cell. They took care of me very quickly! (I'm located in Canada)..."

I hope it helps!

In answer to Ram's actual question, the image of this FFC is a 12P x 1.0mm pitch and I'd say that this is the correct spec size going by the spacing of the contacts compared to the OEM's L-shaped ribbon cable's contacts. The width of an FFC with 12P x 0.5mm pitch is 7mm wide, which I think is too narrow for the mSATA connector. I'd say it's very unlikely that the FFC is a 0.5mm pitch.. Go with the 1.0mm pitch. Just my two cents to the conversation. Hope this helps.

Thank you very much. Let me try this 12P x 1.0mm pitch..

The OEM ribbon is too fragile for someone like me who does not open up the more current version, it is a challenge. I used to do these many years ago, not recently.

Ram, as a follow up post I'm now not so sure that the flex cable is a 1.0mm pitch.. and I apologize if this is the case. I suggest that you measure how wide (at the end) the black Beelink SATA flex cable is..

If it's about 7mm then the pitch should be 0.5mm. Being that it's a 12P cable, if the pitch is 1.0mm then the width of the cable is going to be greater than 12mm. That should give you an idea.

If you don't have an OEM cable to measure then measure the slot width of one of the SATA connectors to get an idea. I am sorry if my previous suggestion of a 1.0mm pitch turned out to be wrong.

Thank you very much Chairman67, the OEM is 0.7mm. So I guess I need to order the 0.5mm.

The OEM seems directional. How do we know which way to connect this market ribbon? Is there a directional spec that I need to look for?

Ram, as far as 'directional' goes, the OEM cable appears to be a 'Reverse Direction' configuration. That is, the contacts at each end of the cable are on opposite sides, not on the same side.. So I would probably stick to the same configuration and get your FFC spare cables (150mm long, 12p x 0.5mm pitch) as reverse direction too.

For reference the image below shows each type you can purchase, either forward direction (same side), or reverse direction (opposite side). I'd go with the reverse direction FFC cable and it should be the best fit (no twisting or stress) when the cable is stowed inside the chassis in the fully closed state. (You'll have to make a judgment call on this as you see the cable flex and fold inside the chassis as you slowly flip the SSD bracket plate/cover over to re-assemble it to the main PC chassis). Hope this info helps.

I am glad you figured out that it's the 0.5mm pitch based the 7mm width. That's good to know.
Cheers.
