I recently purchased a GTR9 and installed an Ubuntu derivative called ZorinOS 16.2.

It has been working great, but haven't been able to find the drivers for the fingerprint reader.

  3. Bus 003 Device 004: ID 1c7a:0577 LighTuning Technology Inc. EgisTec EH577
Copy the Code

  1. uname -a
  2. Linux beelink-zorin 5.15.0-56-generic #62~20.04.1-Ubuntu SMP Tue Nov 22 21:24:20 UTC 2022 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
Copy the Code

Anyone know if there are any drivers for Ubuntu 20.04.1 for the EgisTec EH577?

I'm running Zorin Pro 16.2 on my machine. I have tested other drivers with some luck, however, it worked on/off. It's currently sadly not yet supported. I have not tested recently (back to Win11 for business) but it would eventually work.

Running Ubuntu 22.10.  I performed a hardware p[robe of my BeeLink GTR9 and got this:

USB        1c7a:0577 »

Driver is not found or not configured.

We have not found a driver for the device in any Linux kernel versions up to 6.1 (according to the LKDDb) or known additional packages.

Anybody have a solution to this so I can use the fingerprint reader??
