Hello all; I have a new Beelink U59 which I am trying to run Linux on. Windows seems to work fine, but in Linux I see a number of ACPI errors, and the system sporadically reboots after the display glitches with rainbow colored noise. I suspect ACPI related thermal management issues. This problem occurs with the Beelink provided Ubuntu 20.04, as well as with Ubuntu 22.04 and Debian Bullseye. Kernels _are_ new enough for the hardware, so I suspect broken ACPI tables.

I am hoping that a BIOS update will fix the issues.

Please see my serial number and current bios version in the attached images.

Your machine already has the latest bios. Can you test whether there is a memory problem? Please leave only one memory to try or change to other memory to test whether it will restart.

I ran the Windows 10 built in memory test for several hours last week, but no errors came up.
I'll try swapping memory DIMMs, as long as that won't impact my warranty by opening the case.
I've also heard that some of the U59s had problems with their CPU thermal compound; is this something I should look at?

Please be assured that opening the machine will not affect the warranty period. Please open the machine for inspection and make sure there is no overheating problem.
