HwMonitor is okay... SpeedFan is used too.

I have Zorin 16.1 Pro installed on a disk and I like usi ...

What fan speed does HWMonitor show your GTR5 CPU fan run at on idle ?
What's the fan speed under load running Cinebench ? (on stock settings not overclocked) I'm curious !
Is the fan noise excessively loud when running an R23 benchmark ?
Disappointingly YouTube reviewers never really cover CPU fan RPMs, therrmals and cooling performance under synthetic loads in their reviews !

I've not bought a Mini PC yet so I'm digging for info.. Hope you don't mind me asking you these questions. Many thanks.

I did run Cinebench R23 and I cannot feel any difference. To be frank, running idle, Cinebench R23, compiling a huge project under Visual Studio or compiling a symphonic orchestra score on Finale with tons of loaded VST soundbanks and doesn't change a thing. Fan readings are stable. When I power on my mini PC, I can hear a "noisy" sound for few seconds, that's it!

In this case, I have used Cinebench R23 with Fan Control Monitor (AIDA64 Extreme).

I hope it helps!

p.s.- My mini PC GTR5 5900HX is way better than I expected. I'm still looking forward to put my hands on the upcoming GTR6 as soon as it becomes available here in Canada.

I could eventually run the test under Zorin 16.1 Pro to see if it affects the fan but I doubt it would.  Regards, R.

Yeah... the one pet peeve I have with Beelink minis.... is that the fans cannot be monitored by the OS (or the BIOS for that matter).  I don't want to control the fans I just want to make sure they are functional.
