Hello,

I have a  Gtr5 5900hx and it's not working correctly.
It has Windows 11 installed and all seems ok (SSD, Memory) but when I work with him, windows freezes and then continues...  this occurs frequently.
What Can i Do? Any suggestion?

Thank you.
Regards.

David

I'm also running ESET Internet Security on my GTR5 5900HX and all is fine. My machine came with an Intel SSD 500GB but I changed it for a 2TB Western Digital to suit my needs. You should keep ESET running!

You could use Performance Monitor, MSCHED, Event Viewer and other Microsoft Apps or turn to some freeware or commercial Apps to troubleshoot the problem(s). I would myself try CrystalDiskInfo to see the actual condition of the hard disk.

If the condition is "good" then you may start thinking about trying to install from scratch using a different disk or reinstalling Windows 11 Pro from scratch.

I hope it helps

Windows 11 Pro edition... version?  winb+r -> winver   ...and Windows Freezes where/what/when?!?

For example, Working with Windows Explorer, moving files... downloading... stops doing it and after a while it resumes everything. It can be up to 15 seconds that it seems that everything is frozen...

Something is slowing down Windows operations. Other than Windows, did you install other apps/games?!? something is running in the background and it slows down the computer.

Things have started to slow down when you have installed this new SSD?  What is the brand name and model number of this SSD.

We can find the proper tools to troubleshoot then fix your GR9.

Something is definitely slowing Windows disk operations. What is the brand name and model number of the SSD?

I thought all GTR5 5900HX came with Intel SSD. Is this the original hard drive?

Do you run Windows Update often?  Do you have old programs running in the background?!?

As GTR5 is a recent machine, I doubt it is hardware related, however, the hard disk and/or other harware may be the cause.  Do you have another drive from which you could install Windows 11 Pro on it?!? (this would confirm if the hard disk is the issue or not... but, keep looking for Windows updates and up-to-date drivers).

I hope it helps!

Hello,
Yes, this is the original Hard drive.
Windows it's updated and the graphics drivers.
I don't have older programs running in the background.
I have disabled the antivirus (Eset last version) and nothing happends.

CrystalDiskInfo should tell you the condition of the boot disk.

I gave a longer, more detailed answer but keep getting "Thanks, your post needs moderation, it will be displayed when pass moderation". Shame!
