Dear friends,

I want to buy a GTR5 5900HX mini PC.

Please tell me if GTR5 5900HX support ubuntu well. If not, which part has problem.

Thank you.

-----------
The answer that after I have bought it:

Yes, GR9 supports ubuntu well enough, and it's very easy to install ubuntu on the machine with the pre-installed windows 11 pro.

It does, and actually pretty decent with current kernels. I'm running Manjaro (Arch Linux) on mine.  ...

Thank you for the details.

Perhaps support staff have little knowledge about Linux. It's hard for them to acknowledge their weaknesses.

I'm a bit rusty on Linux and FreeBSD (compiling kernel, drivers etc...) but really interesting returning as the GTR5 has the power I was looking for. I must say I've been very impressed with FreeBSD... it's surprisingly fast! As a member of the community here, I'll try helping as much as I can.

Thank you very much. I'm sorry I know nothing about FreeBSD and did not expect that FreeBSD is so popular here. If ubuntu don't work, then I will try FreeBSD.

I'm not expecting to see many people running BSD UNIX-like OS on their GTR5
