large files support file system

Hello,
I am trying to download some torrents via the uttorrent app on an external USB [Samsung 128GB 3.0] but can't seem to overcome the 4GB limitation of FAT32.  I've tried formating the drive in my macbook to exFAT but even though the GT1 sees the drive the file browser and all the apps can't access it.

Any other ideeas how to access files over 4GB?

It is weird it cannot write to it, my G4 formatted my 64 GB micro SD card as exFat by default. Try NTFS. On CNX Software it says that both exFat and NTFS are supported with read and write. Try formatting the USB HDD on the TV box. I did not try to write on my 1 TB external USB drive, but I only received my box yesterday.

it seems that the problem was with my macbook.. apparently Apple's exFAT is "different"... I found a workaround by formatting the USB drive in my LG Tv. Now the GT1 sees it but my macbook can't.  [if you format the USB in the GT1 it makes it FAT32]

Yup. Apple's fat support is lacking. No worries, there is an official sdcard software tool that works 100%, be it slow.

Why don't you make it NTFS with the help of someone running Windows? It is a shame that you have issues with formats.

Can anyone confirm that they've been able to write files larger than 4GB with the GT1? As of now I have an exFAT USB drive connected to it but the uTorrent  still stops at 4GB when downloading on it.

I just transferred a 5.5GB mkv file to the internal storage/download folder.
Played back via VLC no problem.

Maybe its an old uTorrent related issue.  Perhaps try a different client?
