I have two GT1 units - both upgraded to 106 firmware.

I shut one of the units down a few days ago but when I came to use it today it appears to be dead.

The LED on the front lights when I plug the power in but I get no signal on my TV.

I can swap out my second unit so I know the power supply and HDMI cable are not faulty.

I have tried the reset button but nothing happens when I press it with a paperclip.

Do I have to return it or is there a way of reviving it, booting new firmware from USB, etc?

Thanks in advance for any advice or help.

UPDATE:

I noticed that if i connect the LAN port to my network the router lights to show a connection. However, as far as I can see it doesn't obtain an IP address as I cannot see it on my network.

Have you tried the SD card method .
I find that is the easyest way.

Hi!

Thanks for your reply...

Yes, I tried the SD card method too but I just get 'No Signal' on my TV and no indication that anything is happening at all... :(

I have to say that I disappointed that Beelink haven't replied to this thread.

It is frustrating that the unit is 'dead' but still has life and can be connected by USB. I'm sure there must be a 'fix' that could resolve this issue.

It seems that I have no choice but to return the unit for credit and order something else.

Lastly, if I'd found this forum earlier i wouldn't have ordered the unit - it seems it has too many problems and Beelink are not responsive... Shame...

UPDATE:

Disappointing to report as follows...

Contacted Gearbest who agreed to send a replacement unit on payment of $30!

So, more than two weeks later, after tracking the parcel from Hong Kong, to London to Dubai and finally to Larnaca in Cyprus I find that I have to drive to Limassol to collect the unit AND pay €25 for the privilege - I only paid €15 VAT on the brand new unit...

So the GT1 has so far cost me $53 for the original unit + €15 VAT + $30 for the replacement + €25 customs charges...

I wish I'd never discovered Beelink or Gearbest to be honest...

Azw (Beelink) sell directly on Amazon, slightly more expensive but I'm sure you would have had s better solution.

Yes, but unfortunately at the time of my order they did not offer shipment to Cyprus...

...they do now and that would have been my obvious first choice!
