Hi Abdalnablse10,

You need to be a bit more specific.  Which u-root-bootdisk or petit-bootdisk you use?  What UEFI image you try to boot?

Did you change the dtb to reflect your device?

By the way, have you been able to boot up any mainline kernel linux distro on your Tanix TV Box?  If yes, try use that dtb file.  Try using u-root-bootdisk-nc or petit-bootdisk-nc and see which dtb will boot up on your device.  A good place to start: https://github.com/ophub/amlogic-s9xxx-armbian or https://forum.manjaro.org/t/manj ... c-tv-box/34662/1266

I was able to boot up armbian from ophub with kernel 5.15 and manjaro "daily drive" successfully with the latest kernel, i tried both petit and u-root and i did try the nc versions ,petit "nc and non nc" successfully showed the boot menu, and u-root "nc and non nc" successfully showed the terminal.
"Did you change the dtb to reflect your device?" Yes that's the first thing i do when installing a new system on my sdcard.
"What UEFI image you try to boot?" I tried ubuntu kinetic "the one you tested" and tried alpine.
From what I've seen u-root and petit both work as intended but the problem is that the boot configuration doesn't change on my device before reboot, this means changing the "kernel for an example" using the options in u-root after typing "boot" in the terminal doesn't work, it just act as a normal reboot and just boot from the default settings in the "extlinux.conf in non nc and uEnv.txt in nc" file.

Try the Fedora 36 Workstation raw image.

Someone had tried alphine but could not get it to boot either.

Our device are much different and I do not have any experience with Tanix TX3 mini to be able to guide you further other than suggesting you try UEFI raw image like Fedora 36 Workstation or other UEFi image (instead of iso image) as both petit and u-root can boot up on your Tanix TX3 mini.

Just an update.  New available ubuntu Jammy, Ubuntu Lunar and Debian Bookworm available for download on https://gitlab.com/tripole-inc/bootdisk.

Do take note these are sever/minimal images.  These images can be boot up directly using "u-boot.ext", petit-bootdisk or u-root-bootdisk.

There are suggestions that "zram" might not be functioning correctly on Fedora_38_Workstation with Non-Fedora kernels.  So far I can tell, "zram" seems to be running fine just that "zramctl" report on "zram uncompressed data being used is different from swapon".
zramctl" output being different from "swapon" output is not unique to Fedora_38_Workstation with Non-Fedora Kernel.  I have noticed this on "Opbuntu" image too but zram seems to work fine too.

Update: 2023-07-15 – Fedora 38 Workstation.

Somehow it takes a fair bit of work to keep Fedora 38 Worstation to continue to work on GT King Pro.

Firstly, the current Fedora 38 kernels 6.3.y-200.fc38 is not recognized by kexec so it won’t boot but luckily Fedora 36 kernel-6.2.y-100.fc36 works on Fedora 38 Workstation (well previously, NOT now).

Well with the latest system update few days ago, Fedora 36 kernel-6.2.15-100.fc36 and kernel-6.1.36-zrle-koop-3pole NO longer boot on Fedora 38 Workstation.  Prior to the system updates both these kernel worked.  Tried kernels 6.1.37-koop-3pole, 6.1.38-ophub and 6.1.38-flippy-84+ all do NOT boot up on Fedora 38 Workstation.  This is the bad news.

Would like to hear from Tridora with kernel-6.1.36-zrle-koop-3pole users whether they have the same no-longer boot up issue.

The good news is kernel-6.1.37-arm64-meveric (https://oph.mdrjr.net/meveric/pool/main/l/linux-upstream/linux-image-6.1.37-arm64_6.1.37-20230701-odroid_arm64.deb) and 6.4.3-meson64 (from Armbian) and UEFI 6.4.3-arm64 (Armbian) works on Fedora 38 Workstation.

Looks like for GT King Pro users, Linux images by Manjaro-Arm, Tripole Gitlab, @darkstar, aml-s9xxx-ophub and aml-s9xx-box (Armbian TV Boxes) are easier to maintain.
