What is the correct procedure to update the firmware?

To update the fw i have been downloading the zip, extracting it to a usb drive and plugging it into the King Pro.

The i have been going into local update and selecting the file to update and then it goes through the process of updating and restarts and shows it updating after that as well.

Is this correct as after looking as previous posts from Beelink there is mentions of a brush tool etc which i really am not sure if how i am updating is correct or not?

I have done it this way the last few fw's and noticed a new fw has just been released so done it this way again and i assume it worked although don't see anything different at all.

The other thing i am puzzled about is, if i go to thesystem updates (OTA section) (which never ever finds fw's for some reason, even when new ones are released)?? says current fw is (test keys_20211118-1017 which i am assuming means dated 18.11.2021 so does that mean i am actually on a really old fw and my unit has never updated prior?

I find it a bit confusing.

Do you need to update the firmware? There are usually three ways to update the firmware, you can update it online via OTA, locally with an incremental package, or on your computer by burning the firmware to your machine with a burning software, you can check the instructions below and follow them to update the firmware.

have you checked that the firmware matches the gt king pro model you have?
