Dear Forum Users (GTKING&PRO USERS),

I wish you a happy new year and Merry Cristmass.
I never saw a Slackware or Kali firmware for Amlogic S922X devices.

Than I decided to release 2 different Linux Firmwares as a new year gift to you all.
Please take this firmwares as a new year gift (AS IS ) and please don't ask me for update them.

Kali ARM64 Rolling System Properties:

Firmware Type : USB/SD
Architecture: aarch64
Kernel : Linux 5.15-darkstar
GPU Hardware Acceleration : YES (Panfrost)
User/Password : kali/kali ( for root account
after you login as kali run "sudo su" command, then you will get root rights)

SlackwareARM64-15.0 System Properties:

Firmware Type : USB/SD
Architecture: aarch64
Kernel : Linux 5.15.9
GPU Hardware Acceleration : YES (Panfrost)
User/Password : beelink/beelink and root/beelink

Setup Instructions :

1- Download preferred firmware image from link below.
2- Flash the image with balenaEtcher to an appropriate USB or SD drive ( faster drives perform better )
3- Slackware firmware will not resize your drive on first boot, I added gparted into the firmware please use it for resizing ROOTFS partition.
4- Don't forget to change default password.
5- On first boot from android it fails to boot and gives you the recovery screen, never mind that and reboot into android and click Swich Operating system again. It will boot properly on second boot.
6- In case sound does not work run the commands below.

  1. pulseaudio -k
  2. g12_sound.sh
Copy the Code

I tried to download slackware but download speed seems very slow esteemed time 20hrs to 14hrs to download 2.6GB. So I cancelled it tried Kali aslo same slow download speed.  Tried a few times same very slow download speed.

Did anyone face the same slow download speed?  What was the estimated download time that you all achieved?

What is this for, what does it do?

This is an alternative Linux Distribution firmware which can run from SD/USB without changing anything on your device. Like running Live distribution as persistent on your PC/Laptop.
