I tried to upgrade from 21.10 to 22.04 using Software Updater (as it indicated "Upgrade..." is available).  Selecting "Upgrade..." it does nothing in my case.  Filed a bug report to Ubuntu but they have not acknowledge is a confirmed bug.

@rocar2410 were you successful in upgrading from 21.10 to 22.04 LTS?  How did you perform the upgrade?

Hi roscar2410,

i did the update but the system became unstable, with channel update problems
Which method did you use to update to Ubuntu 22.04 LTS?  Used "Software Updater" or command line "sudo do-release-upgrade"?

kernel-5.15.1-darkstar
May be @darkstar might still have it but this kernel is already quite old.  Khadas have release a new kernel 5.17 http://dl.khadas.com/repos/vim3/pool/main/l/linux-upstream/ -- the latest build is kernel 5.17

Hi @darkstar and @roscar2410,

Interesting.  I have tried a number of times trying to upgrade using Software Updater a few days ago and just basically quit with nothing happening.

Today when I boot up Ubuntu-Impish and it offer "Upgrade to Jammy" and accepted/select "Upgrade..." and it all works.  Including being able to install "snap Firefox".  It replaced the .deb Firefox with snap version and the snap Firefox works (editing this message with snap Firefox).  Snap Firefox first launch is very slow to Launch.

Ubuntu-Jammy seems to have graphical artifacts like "Flickering Top Menu" or "Unresponsive Top Menu" and "Mouse Pointer Diaappering" when you run glmark2-es2-wayland, webglsamples Aquarium on Browser and at times when multiple terminal windows are open.  This I suspect is due to Ubuntu mesa 22.0.1-1ubuntu2 arm64.  On Manjaro-Arm-Gnome mesa 22.0.1-3 none of these issues or on mesa 22.0.2 from mesa fresh kisak ppa.

For your info, mesa 22.0.1 from mesa fresh kisak ppa also had the graphical glithes or artifacts but mesa 22.0.2 resolved these issues as far as I can tell.

Installing mesa 22.0.2 from mesa fresh kisak ppa on Jammy should resolve these issues.

Edit: @darkstar,

Your kernel-5.14.15 had been stable.

Somehow whenever I launch "forum.bee-link.com" it now defaults to "Chinese" instead of "English".  It has been in "Chinese" for the past few days.  Prior to it it had been in English.  How do I change it or revert to "English"?  Appreciate tips on how to revert to "English".

Just noticed the Jammy snap-Firefox uses mesa-21.0.3 instead of  mesa 22.0.1 installed on Jammy.  Interesting.
WebGL 2 Driver Renderer    Panfrost -- Mali G52 (Panfrost)
WebGL 2 Driver Version    OpenGL ES 3.0 Mesa 21.0.3

I'm planning to release a new firmware Ubuntu 22.04 when I have some free time.
Forum language is in Chinese for more than a week, I think this is a website related issue.

By the way I removed snap and installed standalone version of Firefox from firefoxteam ppa repo.
I don't like snap, actually I hate the idea using snap to run regular apps.

Regards,
