I have updated my box to firmware 918 and I now find that the Dolby Vision option in the Settings is not there. In earlier firmwares there was an option you could click for dolby vision but now nothing. Any ideas?

Beelink struggles to call itself a computer company, most of it's products have serious flaws and defects.  I have now tried several versions of their Mini Pc's and they seem to be having a disagreement with Dolby because none of the devices I've tested will allow Dolby to pass through as Bitstream so all of their devices are only working with PCM Stereo. Having HDMI 2.1 should by default mean all Dolby Encoders should work - they just don't. It does not matter if the Beelink machine is running Android or Windows - Dolby does not work. That makes HDMI 2.1 and Surround Sound pointless. You are not going to get technical support for any Beelink devices. This company has one goal - sell as many as you can. They have an English Forum and Website but do not speak English so getting support is not an option. I do not believe these should be sold to US Consumers and strongly believe Amazon should remove the company from it's listings. At this point Amazon is simply allowing a Chinese Company to steal from Americans.

How can you say it doesn't support Dolby Vision when as I explained above the option of selecting dolby vision was present in the earlier firmwares and also in the box's description it clearly stated that it supported dolby vision. So are you saying that Beelink was not telling purchasers of their box the full truth?

Beelink support for GT King is practically nonexistent or at best, pathetic.

The link where I took the spec from is below

https://www.cnx-software.com/201 ... dolby-dts-licenses/

Below are a couple of other links indicating Dolby Vision as a supported format I'm sure if I wasted more time searching I could come up with several others.

https://forum.xda-developers.com ... ets-better.3980517/

https://www.xiaomitoday.com/2021 ... -tv-box-flash-deal/

The most interesting however I've kept to last, the web link below is a test/review of the Beelink GT King Pro and this has tested Dolby Vision clips and they show they were played correctly.

Type: Dolby Vision
LG Demo DolbyVision Comparison.mkv (Played smooth and okay)
LG Demo DolbyVision Trailer.mkv (Played smooth and okay)

https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/4855811

All the above shows that when the box was introduced Dolby Vision support was clearly stated and in one instance actually tested as working. I then come back to my first part of the post where I say that earlier firmwares on my box clearly showed in the Settings Menu an option for selecting Dolby Vision. This setting is no longer in the menu of the latest firmware. Where has it gone?

I took the Beelink GT-King Pro spec from the CNX web site, link below where it shows Dolby Vision as a supported format.

https://www.cnx-software.com/201 ... dolby-dts-licenses/

Below are a two furthur web links which also show the Beelink supporting Dolby Vision.
I'm sure I could find a lot more web sites if I wanted to waste even more of my time.

https://forum.xda-developers.com ... ets-better.3980517/

https://www.xiaomitoday.com/2021 ... -tv-box-flash-deal/

I have left the below web link till last as it is a review of the Beelink along with the formats tested which included Dolby Vision.

If you read through the review you will see that Dolby Vision was tested and was shown to play them correctly.

https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/4855811

I now go back to my start of this forum thread where I pointed out that Dolby Vision was an option listed in the Settings Menu when I recieved the Beelink and subsequent firmware updates, however in the last firmware update it is missing, so what happened and where is it?
