Is there any way to connect a USB microphone to use as a system level audio source for voice input? I don't use a remote with a built in microphone... since this is used in the car, I control it via touch screen.

I purchased a standard usb microphone, but I don't know how to use it as a system microphone.

Sorry, if it is during a call, the device may be usable, but it cannot use for a system microphone

I have found a solution... A jabra usb headset dongle with microphone plugged in will work as a system microphone that is activated when the microphone icon (commonly seen in assistant and search bar) is pressed in Android.

So, it doesn't work for "okay Google", but it will work for voice commands.

You mean that you successfully made it act as a system microphone
And can voice commands be used?

Correct! This is the Jabra USB headset dongle I used:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00WM8LZ70

With this device, I have full voice commands working. I can click microphone icon wherever it is included in Android (like search bar) and voice control google assistant from any distance (as much as 15 ft away from GT King), using a standard omnidirectional lavalier microphone with 3.5mm plug.
