That's not how touchscreens work. I can get as technical as you'd like. You're clearly trying to explain things you don't understand. The digitizer simply turns your finger click into x,y coordinates over a standard display device. Instead of a mouse pointer, your finger is the mouse. The digitizer is the mouse pad. It's simply laminated on top of the display in a transparent layer instead of a cushioned pad sitting on your desk. Understand?
Whatever icon is present on that screen at those coordinates, gets selected via SOFTWARE. Being able to select buttons is not dependent on the display device. If you can see the buttons, you should be able to click them. This is further evidenced by the other icons besides the square menu icon turning grey when this error occurs. The other buttons become disabled through SOFTWARE. Restart the device, and sometimes the issue will not occur. The display power is independent on the device power. I am using analog RCA cables for the display. That's the only link. The mouse is directly connected to the device.
This error does not occur on the other B922 device I have. Same cables. Same display screens. Sony TV. HP monitor. Toshiba TV. Car touchscreen. Same everything. No navigation bar problems on B922, constant navigation bar problems on 6B9X. Explain that to your developer.
You think I can just plug my device into any "NORMAL" display device and the problem will be fixed? No... It occurs with this device on ANY display. Not just the touchscreen in my car. I've simply demonstrated it using a mouse and finger on touchscreen in my car.
This. Is. A. Software. Issue.
I'm trying to help you. I'm telling you your response is wrong. Confidently. What more information would you like to solve it?
If you STILL think it's a hardware issue, respond with the "debug process" you'd like for a log file, how to submit it, and I'll send it over. |
