The meveric's kernel is from https://forum.odroid.com/viewtop ... 5908&start=800. https://oph.mdrjr.net/meveric/pool/main/l/linux-upstream/.

meveric also build stable mesa (currently mesa-21.2.2-1) for Debian Bullseye (from his Bullseye Backports).

I looked quckly into the configuration file.

There are lots of differences for example :
meverick's kernel has support for allwinner and rockchip cpus, which is not necessary for an amlogic firmware.

It does not support any dvb (Analog-Digital) interfaces.

The interesting parts are Process Accounting, Power Management and File System related configurations.
I will check it deeply when I have free time.

I think he wanted the upstream kernel usable on different SOCs which Odroid uses I suppose (Amlogic -c2, C4 and N2 and Rockchip - N1, etc).

So far tested meveric's 5.13.4, 5.13.6, 5.13.11 and 5.13.14-arm64 it all works well on GT King Pro and it resolved the occasional Khadas-Vim3-Gonme-Focal-5.12.0 kernel panic during booting process (resulting to it not being able to boot).

Just an update, through my experience with meveric's upstream kernel so far 5.13.y-arm64 is stable. I tested meveric's 5.14.9-arm64 encountered random system freeze/kernel panic three times. He made some changes/patches to kernel 5.14.9-arm64 which might have affected the stability on GT King Pro.

If you are reviewing meveric's upstream kernels may be checkout what he did differently to 5.13.y-arm64 versus 5.14.9-arm64.

There are 172 differences and mostly DVB drivers, the difference below may be the reason of your stability issue.

Thanks. I was wondering why meveric's kernel 5.13.y-arm64 is more stable than 5.14.9-arm64 and you might have found the reason.
