I also changed with success the original SSD disk putting a 1 TB SSD.
Before changing the original disk I made a copy of windows 10 on a USB key, and a backup including a Windows Image on an external HDD . After mounting the new SSD, if you install Windows 10 from your prepared USB key it asks your license key but you can skip this because you did the copy from a registered version of Windows. I do not remember exactly, perhaps when asked I simply pressed Return, or I pushed the button: "I have not a license"or something similar but then it did not bother me any more with this. After the installation of Windows 10 on the new SSD you restore your previous state from the Windows Image registered on the external HDD. |
