Just purchased a U57 with 256 mg and I'm trying to install a Seagate Barracuda 1Tb HDD.  The system is not recognizing it.  Any suggestions?
Thanks

I have a similar problem.
I installed a Barracuda 1TB HDD internal SATA: ST1000LM048.
Sometimes U57 detects it and sometimes it does not!
When the driver is detected everything is working very well.
The HHD is always present in the devices list but not in the resources and in this case it does not respond.
I think it is a boot problem. When the device is not in the resources in the Boot at drive 0 there is: empty, otherwise there is the name of the HDD.

How can I fix it?
Thanks

You can check if the connection is normal, and then try to restore the BIOS to factory settings

Thank you very much.
The news are that yesterday evening I switched on the U57 after opening the UEFI but it did not launch Windows and worked all night.
This morning I interrupted the process and then the machine by itself did a control and launched some recovery routines.
So I got the initial Windows page with my Barracuda drive in the Resources. Then I installed even the optional system updates.
Today I cannot check because I need the PC. Tomorrow I will switch off and will check.
If I will have again that problem I will try your suggestion.

I checked.
After many tests I am quite sure that our problems are due to the SATA cable connecting the HDD to the Main Board.
In the U57 package there were two cables, two 12 pin strips. The first one stopped working from the beginning; the other has worked bad for few days. Now my HDD is powered off because the cable has four strips interrupted.
I guess the solution is to buy a better cable.
Any suggestions

In Internet I found this:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/ ... b_test=searchweb0_0,searchweb201602_,searchweb201603_

U57 is a very good product, I am very satisfied of it, it is a pity it would not work only for a unreliable cable.

Hi,
I have the same problem (with a Seagate BARRACUDA 1TB HDD ST1000LM048 too).
The first cable stopped immediately. The second one worked just an hour after a work of transfert files from a external HD.
I wrote a detailed email to Support-PC@bee-link.com and received a prompt reply.
But they simply sent me the link to the Youtube video about the installation. I think that they just read the email object and not more.
