Lately got a new AV and found out that the Beelink GT-King does not support yet the Dolby True-HD and DTS-HD Passthru formats for lossless audio had to use CoreELEC to get proper sypport for these formats and work well on the GT-King, when is Beelink going to add support to their Android 9 Firmware and any info or dates would be appreciated.
Hello,GT-King uses the S922X chip, which currently cannot decode Dolby and DTS audio. The S922X-H chip used in our GT-King Pro can decode Dolby and DTS.
So how come its working with CoreELEC on same GT-KING box!!! if S922X chip has no support for it !! Hardware wise there is support or else it should not work with CoreELEC either !!! or there are other reasons there is currently no support for DTS-HD/Dolby TrueHD ? GT-KING is been out for about a year and support is being dropped it seems.
Hello, GT-King is currently not discontinued, because S922X does not have Dolby and dts authorization, so Dolby and dts decoding cannot be used. The CoreELEC system decodes through software, not through hardware.
Well if not mistaken the AV decodes the TrueHD/DTS when using Passthrough so not dependent on S922X or software decoding , can't Beelink add this to GT-KING Android firmware ?

It Is definetly so. When set to passthrogh/bitstream mode, GT-King should pass the untouched audio stream to the AV. It Is the AV that decodes the audio stream. By the way, I think the same issue goes for the GS-King X, as I asked in the GS-King X forum section.
